With the continuous expansion of lithium battery applications, lithium batteries have extended from daily civilian use to industrial factories, and even some special fields, such as mining and other areas that require explosion-proof requirements. As is well known, due to the active nature of lithium ions, conventional lithium batteries are flammable and explosive materials. This requires professional design integration of lithium batteries to meet explosion-proof requirements.
The requirements for explosion-proof lithium batteries are as follows:
1. There is a protective device to prevent high battery temperature and battery damage.
2. There are two ways to prevent polarity reversal or reverse charging by another battery within the same battery pack.
3. Set up an over discharge protection device to monitor the voltage at both ends of a single battery or battery pack, and cut off the power when the voltage drops below the minimum voltage specified by the battery manufacturer.
4. Each individual battery is connected in parallel with a diode.
When a single battery or battery pack is allowed to charge inside an explosion-proof enclosure, a protective circuit should be installed to prevent overcharging.
